Kaelyn is a hard worker and an all-out competitor—the type of player every coach loves to have. She brings grit and toughness every time she steps on the floor, has great footwork, and takes real pride in playing on-ball defense. That mentality has earned her a starting spot on JV, where she’s already making a big impact on both sides of the ball.
Offensively, her game is coming along, and I have no doubt it will continue to grow. She’s a great listener, stays coachable, and genuinely wants to learn the game. When a player has that mindset, improvement is inevitable. She puts in the work, asks questions, and applies what’s taught, which is why you can see her confidence building.
Defensively is where she really separates herself. She can pick up the ball handler full court and apply relentless pressure, creating constant problems for opposing point guards. Her effort, instincts, and anticipation make her a true disruptor. At Maypearl, it wouldn’t be surprising to see her lead—or eventually break—the steals record as time goes on.
