Alex is one of the original Game Winners from the very beginning—going all the way back about five years ago when I first started. He played for me early on, before linking up with New Balance, where Tyrese Maxey saw him play and decided to sponsor him.
After a few training sessions, I started calling him “The Big Ticket” because he reminded me of Kevin Garnett. That may sound like high praise—and time will ultimately tell—but the early signs are real. He already holds offers from Missouri, with several other high-major programs keeping a close eye on him.
What makes this even more impressive is that this is only his freshman year, and he’s averaging 20+ points and 10 rebounds per game. The biggest challenge this season has been the supporting cast, but nonetheless, the future is extremely bright.
He runs the floor well, rebounds with purpose and goes right back up, and protects the rim on the defensive end. At his size, the question at the next level will be: what position does he play?
As trainers, Dearon Tucker—who is a close friend of Tyrese Maxey—and I are intentional about incorporating Kevin Durant–style elements into his game. The focus is on positional versatility, efficient shot creation, and developing the ability to score at all three levels without overdribbling. We emphasize balance, pacing, and decision-making so the game remains simple yet highly effective.
There’s still work to do—but keep going, kid.
Proud of you. ⛩️
As one of his trainers.
